2013 Giant Race EXPO
More details as the reality of it being 13 years after Y2K sinks in, but for now:
EXPO TIMING/DETAILS:
Where? Near AT&T Park (heck, maybe even inside AT&T Park - we just don't know yet)
When? Friday, August 2nd: (12pm-7pm) & Saturday, August 3rd: (9am-4pm)
Why do I need to go? Runners will pick up shirts and all runner goodies at the expo. Oh yeah, and your race bib and timing chip (also kinda important). Runners who have opted for bib/timing chip mailing will pick up shirts and race goodies on race day.
Who can go? Anyone, the more the merrier. We'll have a photo booth, a DJ, games courtesy of the San Jose Giants, and more. Fun times.
Can I pick up my friend's packet? Yes, we will allow you to pick up someone else's packet. Please bring a copy of their photo ID with you to the expo.
Parking? Expo parking details are TBD, but expect to have a small portion of time where you can park for free in Lot A. Otherwise, use the meters por favor.
OBLIGATORY RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP DISCLAIMER: If you've participated in a race with an expo since the turn of the century, you've undoubtedly heard this line before, so come on and say it with us...."THERE IS NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP. YOU MUST ATTEND THE EXPO." Why? With a race the size of The Giant Race, there simply isn't time to get you all taken care of early Sunday morning. And we want you to stretch out properly, rather than standing in line for a bib.
